President of the United States, Donald Trump, warned this Tuesday about the consequences of a potential Iranian attempt on his life.

Speaking from the Oval Office, he stated that Iran would be «annihilated» if they tried to kill him.

«If they did it, they would be annihilated,» he said bluntly.

He also mentioned that he has already left «clear instructions» regarding this matter.

The Justice Department revealed in November that it had thwarted an Iranian plot to assassinate Trump.

According to U.S. authorities, Iran tasked Farhad Shakeri, 51, with surveilling and killing the president.

Shakeri, as per reports, is currently a fugitive in Iran.

This plot has escalated tensions between the two countries.

Trump signed a memorandum to increase pressure on Iran.

The aim is to prevent the country from developing a nuclear weapon.

It also seeks to restrict Iran’s oil exports to other nations.

Trump stated that the United States has the right to block the sale of Iranian oil.

The U.S. president insisted that Iran cannot possess nuclear weapons.

He argued that it is a threat not only to the U.S. but to the entire world.

Moreover, he assured that his administration would continue to press Iran until it meets international demands.

«We cannot allow them to obtain a nuclear weapon,» he emphasized.

Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss issues such as the escalating tension with Iran.

Iran’s attack on Israel with missiles and drones last year was one of the main concerns.

Both leaders discussed how to address the Iranian threat.

They also explored potential strategies to enhance regional security and strengthen bilateral relations.
