The campaign of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump launched a series of criticisms on Tuesday, August 6.
The same ones are directed against Tim Walz, the newly chosen running mate of candidate Kamala Harris.
The governor of Minnesota was described by former President Trump’s campaign as a «radical leftist.»
Karoline Leavitt, press secretary for the Republican campaign, confirmed the comment in a statement.

«If Walz won’t tell voters the truth, we will: Like Kamala Harris, Tim Walz is a dangerous left-wing extremist,» he said.
Walz’s selection was announced Tuesday, just hours before he was set to appear in public alongside Harris at a rally in Philadelphia.

Trump supporters argue that Walz’s political project in Minnesota has been to «reshape» his state «in the image» of California.

According to the Trump campaign, Walz pretends to support American citizens but actually has a disparaging view of them.
«When the cameras are off, he believes rural America is mostly ‘made up of cows and rocks,'» the campaign said.
For Republicans, Walz represents a danger because of his proposals for “stricter emissions standards for gasoline-powered cars.”
As well as «policies that allow convicted criminals to vote,» according to the ‘EFE’ news agency.
The campaign insisted: “Walz is obsessed with spreading California’s dangerous leftist agenda everywhere,” which “is a nightmare for all Americans.”
Which also included Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly.
The governor of Minnesota has a track record that stands out for his progressive approach.
Before entering politics, he worked as a high school teacher and boasts of having approved free school meals for state schools.
Walz has also received endorsements from prominent figures in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, including Senator Bernie Sanders.
Harris’ selection of Walz reflects an attempt to strengthen the progressive wing of the Democratic campaign.
Although this has generated strong reactions from the Trump campaign and his supporters.
