Trump issues disturbing threat about using the military to confront ‘internal enemies’

The Republican suggested that the use of the National Guard or even the military could be necessary to confront what he described as «internal enemies» on Election Day.

According to Trump, “radical left lunatics” represent the greatest danger.

The former president downplayed any possibility of chaos from his own followers, who participated in the January 6, 2021 insurrection.

During the interview, Trump stated that “the biggest problem is the people on the inside,” according to CNN.

Furthermore, he referred to his political opponents and suggested that they could be neutralized with military intervention if necessary.

Although the former president does not fear unrest from his voters, he expressed concern about possible interference from his opponents, calling them “sick” and “very bad.”

An Associated Press article details that Trump and his allies are already drawing up plans to expand the use of the military should he win the presidency again.

These include the deployment of thousands of soldiers to the border with Mexico.

As well as the use of troops for mass deportations and control of civil unrest.

This proposal, part of its Agenda 47, would mark a radical change in the role of the military in the United States, with significant implications both nationally and internationally.
