President of the United States, Donald Trump, has amended his lawsuit against CBS.
He increased the compensation he is demanding to $20 billion, according to a report by Variety.
Trump, who initially filed the lawsuit in October in a Texas court, accuses the network of favoring his then-rival, Democrat Kamala Harris, in its coverage of the presidential elections.
Specifically, he claims that the interview Harris gave to 60 Minutes was manipulated to enhance her image in the days leading up to the November 5 election.

Trump’s lawsuit focuses on CBS allegedly broadcasting different responses to the same question on 60 Minutes and in a preview for Face the Nation, which he claims demonstrates intentional bias in favor of Harris.
The network, on its part, has defended the integrity of its coverage and argues that the lawsuit lacks merit.
In the amendment filed this Friday, Trump expands his allegations, asserting that the alleged preferential treatment of Harris not only harmed his campaign.
But it also affected him as the owner of the social network Truth Social, which competes in the media industry.

The lawsuit now also includes Paramount Global, CBS’s parent company, whose streaming service, Paramount+, aired the controversial interview.
According to Variety, the company is reportedly considering a possible settlement with Trump, though no negotiations have been confirmed at this time.
CBS attorneys have reiterated that the legal action has no basis, stating that the clauses Trump relies on only apply to commercial messages, not political discourse.
For this reason, they argue that the Republican leader’s claim lacks legal standing.
