President Donald Trump has expressed his frustration in the face of deportation figures recorded in the first weeks of his government.

Demanding a greater execution of immigration policies.

This was confirmed according to sources close to discussions between the White House and the Immigration and Customs Control Service (ICE).

According to ‘Telemundo’, Trump has expressed his discomfort for the number of undocumented immigrants deported so far.

The presidential pressure has been aimed at key figures of its administration.

Including the ‘Tsar of the Border’ Tom Homan, Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the Stephen Miller Cabinet Deputy Chief and ICE’s interim director, Caleb Vitello.

Trump signs order to ban trans women in women’s sports.

«They are not deporting more people and that is driving it crazy,» said a source with knowledge of the subject.

From the White House, spokesman Kush Desai assured that the Trump administration has restored compliance with migratory laws.

This after what he described as «four years of incompetence and negligence» under the management of Joe Biden.

Desai said that hundreds of illegal foreigners, including violent criminals and gang members, have been arrested and deported since Trump assumed the position.

He also stressed that the government is focused on ensuring borders and ensuring that mass deportations are carried out quickly and effectively.

In ICE, Tom Homan holds daily meetings with migratory service agents, where he has expressed his frustration for the low number of arrests and deportations.

A source pointed out that Homin «is not happy» and has been emphatic in demanding that the agency increase arrest figures.

For its part, Caleb Vitello established in January a daily fee of between 1,200 and 1,400 arrests, although the current figures have been below that goal.

According to data published in the social network X, the highest number of arrests since Trump’s arrival to the presidency has been 1,100, a figure that has decreased over the days.

On Tuesday about 800 arrests were reported, while the previous weekend only about 300 were recorded, according to sources cited by NBC News.

To fulfill Trump’s promise to make “millions and millions” of deportations, the government should deport more than 2,700 immigrants a day to reach one million in a year.

However, the number of arrests does not always mean rapid deportations, since some immigrants are released while waiting for their judgment.

According to data from the White House, 461 of the more than 8,000 immigrants arrested in the first two weeks of the Trump administration were released.

The Government has indicated that it seeks to accelerate deportation processes to prevent immigrants from remaining in the country for long periods.

Attempts to increase deportations have caused mixed opinions, with activists criticizing the lack of justice and damage to migrant communities.

Pro -immigrant groups warn that deportations can divide families and affect key workers.

Trump’s government says measures are necessary for the security of the country and its citizens.

In addition, the issue of immigration remains important for the government, and it is expected that the pressure on ICE will increase in the coming weeks.
