Telemundo ratings tank without La Casa de los Famosos
The X account, Produ, revealed the evidence showing how Telemundo dealt a heavy blow to Univision on Monday, May 20.
The reality show’s season four finale outperformed Univision’s La Rosa de Guadalupe, Tu Vida es Mi Vida, and El Gallo de Oro.
Only El Señor de los Cielos 9 dropped a million from what La Casa de los Famosos 4 had achieved, raising alarms.
Top Chef VIP 3 premiered its new season the following day and things took a turn for the worse for Telemundo.
Can Top Chef VIP sustain the network’s ratings?
Telemundo’s joy was short-lived, as Top Chef VIP 3 started with only 884,000 viewers tuned in during the first hour of its premiere.
Although it managed to climb to 935,000 viewers from 8 to 10 pm, this is far from the 2.1 million captivated by La Casa de los Famosos 4.
Univision took advantage of this situation, reclaiming the lead with El Gallo de Oro attracting 1.2 million viewers.
El Amor no Tiene Receta and Tu Vida es Mi Vida also averaged 1.1 million viewers each.
La Casa de los Famosos to return with All-Stars
Given this, Telemundo will need to implement new strategies and stir controversy to boost the viewership of the cooking reality show.
Considering contestants like Alicia Machado, Paty Navidad and Daniela Castro, it won’t be long before conflicts erupt.
Meanwhile, Univision continues to bet on series and soap operas that captivate their traditional audience.
Telemundo has confirmed La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars for 2025, which will mark the return of various contestants from the previous four seasons.
