The incident occurred around 03:00 a.m. on June 24, when a 72-year-old man, identified as James Lambert, had the misfortune to meet these young people who brutally murdered him.
James Lambert was walking along Cecil B. Moore Avenue, in Philadelphia, around 03:00 a.m. on June 24. At that moment, he had the bad luck to run into seven teenagers, who began to chase and attack him for no apparent reason.
Although the old man tried to get away and avoid the attackers, the teens, laughing, took a traffic cone and began to brutally beat him, over and over again, until he was unconscious. After the attack, the assailants left the scene as if nothing had happened. FILED FROM: Teens Kill Grandpa

Media reacts to the brutal murder
AM reported the reaction of one of Lambert’s relatives. “It’s so evil, how could you do that to a person? You have a mother and a father, how could you beat a man until half his skull was removed?” Elsie Stephens, older sister of the victim, told NBC10.
“It’s horrible, it’s a horrible thing. We’re looking into the possibility that those teens are involved in other robberies in the area. At this time, no suspects have been captured and we are asking for the public’s assistance in helping us identify them,” Philadelphia Police Capt. Jason Smith said.
