An 18-year-old, identified as Arda K., carried out a violent attack in Eskişehir, Turkey.
The attack occurred on Monday night, leaving five people injured with a knife and an axe.
The assailant wore a Nazi helmet, a vest with a swastika, and the ‘Black Sun’ symbol.
Arda K. live-streamed the attack in a tea garden, where he injured five people.
Detention of Arda K. and Condition of the Injured
The attacker was arrested while trying to flee, after being chased by a police officer.
The injured were taken to local hospitals, with two in critical condition.
The Eskişehir police confirmed that Arda K. is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
The Minister of Justice, Yılmaz Tunç, assured that the investigation is being conducted with the utmost care.
The attack has caused great concern, with some media suggesting it was an attack targeting Muslim congregants.
However, a poorly written manifesto by the assailant revealed that he chose his victims for their apparent inability to defend themselves.

The document mentioned targets including leftists, women, refugees, Kurds, LGBTQI individuals, and animals.
