The upcoming inclement weather conditions in the central and eastern half of the country are marked by a rise in temperatures, according to Accuweather forecasts.

The mild weather coming through midweek in the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic states will be welcomed by many.

Some will even be able to enjoy outdoor activities and prepare for spring.

However, this could change at the end of the week, since storms are predicted.

Beginning Wednesday through Thursday, it’s expected to be breezy from the Mississippi Valley into the interior Northeast.

This is important, since it will usher in a storm for the end of the week.

This will develop in the plains and bring rain to the Ohio Valley and the interior Northeast, according to weather experts.

A branch of the northern storm is also expected to encounter a low pressure system, resulting in heavy rain in California early in the week.

Accuweather meteorologist Joseph Bauer warns that rain could be locally heavy, and the Ohio Valley could hear some thunder.

«In tandem with melting snow, some areas will experience issues with ponding water, especially in low-lying and prone areas,» Bauer said.

Precipitation between Thursday and Friday could range from 1 to 1.5 inches in parts of the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic, calling for extra caution.

For this reason, experts warn that motorists should be careful and avoid slippery roads in the affected areas.

Conditions are expected to become windy from the Great Lakes to the mid-Atlantic on Friday and Saturday.

This, in turn, will raise the risk of snow showers on the lakes and low temperatures in the surrounding area.

Friday night temperatures could feel several degrees below actual values due to windy conditions, according to AccuWeather.

The public is recommended to stay informed through updated forecasts and take necessary precautions.
