Shooting in Querétaro Bar leaves 10 dead and injured

At least four armed individuals opened fire in a bar in Querétaro, in the center of Mexico.

The gunmen killed 10 people and wounded 13, a local official said.

The attack occurred during the night of this Saturday, November 9, in the historic center of this city.

Querétaro had been relatively safe from the violence seen in other states, such as Guerrero.

The shooting at the bar is not the first incident of this kind in Querétaro

In recent years, some violent incidents have occurred in Querétaro, which has raised concerns among authorities.

Juan Luis Ferrusca Ortiz, the city’s chief of public security, confirmed the attack and the number of victims.

The security chief indicated that at least one person was arrested for the incident at a bar in Querétaro.

Authorities identified the perpetrators by tracking the license plates of the car in which the gunmen fled (SEE THE VIDEO HERE).

The car was later found abandoned and burned.

Two videos from the bar’s security cameras, which were shared on social networks, show four individuals entering this place in Querétaro.

They fired indiscriminately at diners at several tables.

The video shows people screaming, throwing themselves to the ground, and trying to take cover, smeared with the blood of the wounded.

Hours after the attack on the bar, the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, promised to bring the assailants to justice.

He said he was working to provide assistance to the families of the deceased.

“There will be punishment for those responsible for this brutal act,” Kuri wrote on the social network X early this Sunday.
