The city of Florence, South Carolina, experienced a violent weekend marked by two separate nightclub shootings that left at least seven people injured and one person dead.

County authorities confirmed that both incidents occurred just hours apart and remain under active investigation.

These latest outbreaks of violence are raising growing concerns over public safety in nightlife areas and highlight a troubling pattern: one of the venues has now seen five shootings in the past two years.

The situation is putting pressure on local officials to take more decisive action.

This was confirmed by the Florence Police Department.

The first shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Qulture nightclub, located in the 3000 block of East Palmetto Street.

According to Florence County Sheriff T.J. Joye, seven people were shot during a fight that began in the nightclub’s parking lot.

One of the victims died at the scene, and several others were transported to the hospital. No updates have been provided regarding their conditions.

This was reported by ABC News.

Earlier on Saturday morning, another shooting took place at the Red Circle nightclub on South Irby Street.

As officers responded to a string of car thefts in the area and detained two teenage suspects, gunfire erupted inside the venue. A man was shot in the head and remains in critical condition. No arrests have been made so far in connection with the shooting.

Sheriff Joye noted that the Red Circle nightclub has been the site of at least five shootings in the past two years, reigniting the debate over nightclub regulation and oversight.

Investigations are ongoing, while the Florence community continues to demand answers and improved safety measures.
