Rapper Sean «Diddy» Combs was charged on Tuesday in a federal court in New York.
The charges include conspiracy to commit organized crime, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and human trafficking.
According to the indictment, Combs «engaged in a widespread pattern of abuse toward women and others.»
Diddy, who was arrested at a New York hotel, plans to plead not guilty, according to CNN.
Abuse and Organized Crime Charges Against Sean Diddy Combs
The indictment alleges that, from 2009 onwards, the rapper repeatedly assaulted women, hitting, punching, dragging, throwing objects at them, and kicking them.
He is also accused of manipulating women through acts such as distributing narcotics, intimidation, or violence to participate in «orchestrated sexual activities with male sex workers.»
Combs is identified as the leader of a criminal organization, «Combs Enterprise.»
It is claimed that members engaged in activities such as sex trafficking, forced labor, human trafficking, and other serious crimes like kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.
The indictment states that Diddy used his business and employees to carry out, facilitate, and cover up his abuses and sex trafficking operations.
Additionally, it alleges that he maintained the loyalty of his business members through violence and threats.

The rapper allegedly intimidated, manipulated, bribed, and threatened those who witnessed the crimes committed by members and associates of his enterprise.
Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, told CNN that the rapper «is innocent» of the charges against him.
The 54-year-old musician’s indictment comes after receiving ten lawsuits over the past year from various women accusing him of sexual abuse and rape, allegations that Combs has denied.
However, in May, he issued a public apology after a 2016 video surfaced showing him kicking and dragging his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, through the hallways of a Los Angeles hotel.
In March, authorities executed two search warrants at his properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a federal investigation into sex trafficking, drug trafficking, and other crimes.
