In an interview with Variety, actor Jacob Elordi spoke about Saltburn’s bathtub scene and working with Barry Keoghan.

So what exactly happens in this infamous scene? Keoghan’s character Oliver secretly watches as Elordi’s character Felix masturbates in the bathtub.

After Felix leaves the room, Oliver slurps up the last of his bathwater as it goes down the drain.

«I was like, ‘Thank God, it’s mine.’ I was very proud. I was very proud to have Barry Keoghan guzzling it like that,» Elordi said.

Apart from Saltburn, Jacob is known for portraying Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s film Priscilla.

Besides Saltburn’s bathtub scene, another moment in the film put Barry Keoghan in the spotlight.

At one point Oliver ‘makes love’ to Felix’s’ grave.

That moment wasn’t in the original script but Barry wanted to experiment, and discussed it with director Emerald Fennell.

«I wanted to see what the next level of obsession was. So I asked for a closed set. I wanted to see where it went,» the Irish actor explained.

Saltburn director Emerald Fennell asked if this film was a «queer thriller.»

Although the characters’ sexuality is never explicitly discussed, Emerald Fennell said that queerness is part of the fabric of the story.

«This is a film entirely about desire, and that desire takes every conceivable manifestation,» she told Pink News.

The move has been described as ‘hilarious’ and ‘gloriously twisted.’

The actor stated that he didn’t use any prosthetics, it was all him in the final scene.

«This is my place. It’s full confidence in, ‘I can do what I want in this manor. I can strip to my barest and waltz around because this is mine,» the actor stated.
