A woman identified as 41-year-old Sabrina Peckham was found in an alligator’s jaws.

Witnesses in Tampa Bay saw the animal carrying her body on a residential street.

Immediately, authorities began working to identify the victim.

Peckham’s daughter, Breauna Dorris, confirmed the tragic incident and asked for the community’s support by starting a GoFundMe campaign.

«No one deserves to die like this,» said Sabrina Peckham’s daughter, after confirming her mother’s death to People.

On September 22, it was announced that a giant 14-foot alligator was spotted wandering through a residential area.

Local authorities rushed to the scene after receiving calls about the sighting of the animal and a possible attack.

Upon arrival, they found the devastating scene: Sabrina Peckham’s body was in the mouth of the huge alligato.

Police immediately began an operation to recover Peckham’s body and control the dangerous reptile.

Reporter Ed Krassenstein revealed that a man saw the alligator carrying Peckham’s remains and informed authorities what was happening.

«A 13 foot, 8 inch long alligator was discovered in a Pinellas County, Florida waterway by a man walking home from a job interview,» he tweeted.

The woman’s body was dragged into the water, but the police subdued the large alligator and managed to rescue the remains to begin identifying the victim.

Through a press release, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reported that they are working to determine the cause of death.

«Throughout the course of the investigation, the deceased victim has been identified as 41-year-old Sabrina Peckham. According to the Medical Examiners Office, the manner and cause of death is pending.

Initial reports from authorities stated that the 14-foot alligator was ‘humanely’ euthanized after the fatal attack.

«With the assistance of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), a 13-foot, 8.5-inch male alligator was humanely euthanized,» they reported.

Breauna Dorris started a GoFundMe campaign asking for help to cover her mother’s funeral expenses.

«Hi, my name is Breauna Dorris and I’m fundraising for the sudden, tragic loss of my mother Sabrina Peckham,» she wrote.

Devastated by the loss of her mother, Breauna made the brave decision to speak out about this tragedy and share her feelings.

«Sabrina lost her life suddenly after being attacked by a 13 foot alligator. Sabrina was loved by many and we expected many many more years with her.»

«Our family is in shambles trying to cope with this kind of loss. Sabrina only being 41 and homeless at the time had no funeral or death arrangements set up,” Dorris wrote.

Her words touched the community, who did not hesitate to support her during this difficult time.

«We will be using the funds raised for crematory expenses and laying her to rest in our family plot,» Breauna concluded.

The GoFundMe has gone viral, with people across the country generously contributing to help the family in their hour of need.
