«I did my best and gave it all the courage I could muster.

It’s up to you now to finish the job; I will offer $150,000 to anyone who can complete the task,» the letter reads.

He also stated that it was someone else’s responsibility to finish what he started.

The letter was addressed «to the world» and cited Donald Trump’s Middle East policies as one of his motivations.

Ryan Wesley Routh had planned the attack for September 15 at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Before the attempt, he had researched routes to Mexico and compiled a list of Trump’s upcoming public appearances.

Police arrested him after he attempted to flee in a vehicle near the golf course.

Inside the vehicle, they found six cell phones, a list of Donald Trump’s events, and searches on how to travel to Mexico.

On Monday, Routh is set to appear in court for a federal detention hearing.

Federal prosecutors have requested that Routh remain in custody as the case progresses.

A Secret Service agent had spotted Routh in the brush with a rifle before firing at him.

After the shot, Routh fled in a black Nissan Xterra.

Witnesses provided crucial details that led authorities to his arrest.

In the letter found, Ryan Wesley Routh predicted his own failure and offered money to anyone who could complete the assassination.
