Ingredients for Roasted Ham with Pineapple

1 pre-cooked ham (approximately 6 lbs)

1 can of pineapple slices in their juice

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons of honey

1 teaspoon whole cloves (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the ham

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Place the ham on a baking sheet with the fat side up.

With a sharp knife, make diagonal cuts in the fat of the ham, forming a diamond pattern.

If you wish, you can stick cloves at the points where the diamond lines intersect.

Prepare the pineapple mustard glaze

In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and honey.

Spread half of this mixture over the ham, making sure it gets into the cuts.

Place the pineapple slices on top of the ham, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.

Pour the rest of the glaze mixture over the pineapple slices.

Grill the ham

Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for about 1 hour.

Remove the foil and continue baking for another hour, or until the ham is golden brown and caramelized.

While it’s cooking, baste the ham with its own juices and the pineapple-mustard glaze several times.

If the ham begins to brown too quickly, cover it with aluminum foil again.

Serve your Roasted Ham with Pineapple

Once the ham is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.

Cover the ham slices with the glazed pineapple slices and the roast juices.

Now it’s time to garnish, although this is optional.
