The scandal escalated when, upon calling the apartment of the 36-year-old manager, he threw a bag of drugs out the window, which landed directly in the hands of the police.
In the seizure, authorities found 1.6 kilos of cocaine, 400 grams of cannabis, and 268,000 euros in cash.
Despite being released after a few days of detention, the manager reopened the business and continued offering the pizza with the controversial «extra.»
This allowed investigators to track the narcotics supply chain.

After weeks of investigation, about 150 officers dismantled a drug trafficking network in western Germany, leading to the arrest of three suspects, including a 22-year-old man considered the leader of the operation.
During the raids, two cannabis plantations were discovered near Mönchengladbach and Solingen, along with weapons and valuable items.
The pizzeria’s manager was finally arrested while attempting to flee the country and is currently in custody. The identities of those involved have not been revealed due to Germany’s privacy laws.
Authorities have not disclosed the price of the «extra» that was offered with the pizza, but the case has caused a stir in the city and highlighted the drug trafficking problem in the region.
