Big Dina is shot to death

On Good Friday, while enjoying a meal in a family restaurant in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata, near Xalapa, Big Dina was the victim of a violent shooting that ended his life.

His music career spanned more than two decades he was known throughout Mexico.

In addition to begin popular in Colombia, Big Dina was a global star.

His ability to combine his academic training in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Veracruzana with his passion for reggaeton allowed him to develop a unique musical style.

He was murdered in Mexico

The tragic incident took place on the afternoon of Friday, March 29, at the IXCHEL restaurant — an establishment known for its quiet family atmosphere, according to infobae.

According to preliminary reports, Big Dina had been enjoying a day at the local pool when he was surprised by two individuals.

They were traveling on a motorcycle and opened fire at him without saying a word.

The attack not only killed Big Dina, but also injured two other people, including his father who was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Response from the authorities

According to infobae, a third victim suffered minor injuries.

Local authorities are currently investigating the murder.

Officers from the Ministerial Police were deployed to the scene of the incident to remove Big Dina’s body and collect evidence that would help identify his killers.

Likewise, a joint operation was implemented between the Secretaria de Seguridad Pública (SSP) and the Municipal Police of Emiliano Zapata to patrol the area and look for clues that lead to the capture of the culprits.
