According to reports, the Jacksonville, Florida-based rapper, whose real name is Charles Jones, had thrown a large birthday party Friday night in nearby Tampa.
The fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn, as reported by WFLA, the local NBC affiliate.

The rapper could be seen having fun with his friends at the extended celebrations in an Instagram story before the police reportedly asked them to move locations.
The group was trying to get a room at the hotel at the time of the shooting, said the police.

“What we’ve learned, and this is at the start of the investigation, is that two cars were shot at,” said Joneé Lewis, public information officer for the Tampa Police Department.
The police confirmed that Jones, also known as Julio Foolio, died in the skirmish. «It appears that [the others] will survive their injuries,» Lewis stated.
Investigators continue to question witnesses and review surveillance footage for more clues about what happened.
According to reports, Charles Jones had been shot at least once in the past three years, WFLA stated.
The incident has shocked fans and the rap community, who have expressed their sadness and solidarity on social media.
The shooting that ended his life also left three other people injured, whose identities and health status have not been publicly disclosed.
Foolio’s alleged girlfriend shared the devastating news in an X post on Sunday, according to The US Sun.
