Good news for Vice President and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
She is ahead of former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump in voting intention in several key states.
This is according to a survey published by Morning Consult.
Harris leads Trump by a wider margin in Michigan, with 53% support to 42%.

She also leads by smaller numbers in Arizona, Nevada and Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, Trump leads Harris in Pennsylvania, with 50% support to 46%.
Both are tied in the state of Georgia, according to the new poll.
The survey was conducted online between July 24 and 28 among nearly 5,000 registered voters in those seven states.
These states are considered more relevant than the rest, since the support for the Democratic and Republican candidates is similar.
According to Morning Consult Harris’s notable advance in Michigan comes after support increased from groups where President Joe Biden had performed poorly.

Young voters, Democrats and independents gains extend to the general electorate in key states.
46% of respondents have a favorable view of the potential Democratic candidate.
That’s five percentage points higher than the previous poll, when Biden was still a presidential candidate.
In addition, the number of people who said they had an unfavorable view has dropped by three points, to 50%.
After Biden dropped out of the re-election race on July 21 and called for Harris to be elected in November, the vice president has sparked great enthusiasm.
She has already raised $200 million and has gathered some 170,000 volunteers for its campaign.
Last Thursday a poll by The New York Times and the higher education center Siena College already reflected Harris’ advance in voting intention.
That poll put Trump just one percentage point ahead of her (48% to 47%) nationally.
In the previous poll conducted by these institutions, from earlier this month, Trump was six percentage points ahead of Biden.
