New Mexico announces stimulus check
The goal is to provide financial relief and help people cover essential expenses amid the ongoing inflation.
The New Mexico stimulus check can reach up to USD 1,000 for married couples who filed their tax returns jointly.

Meanwhile, individual taxpayers can receive up to USD 500 as part of this state aid.
One of the benefits of this program is that no prior application is required to receive the refund.
The state has indicated that eligible citizens will receive the money automatically, according to El Cronista.
To qualify for this New Mexico check, individuals must have filed a personal income tax return (PIT) for the year 2021.
Those declared as dependents are not eligible for this stimulus check.
Although the deadline to file the 2021 PIT tax return was May 31, 2024, refunds will still be issued to those who meet the conditions.
This stimulus from New Mexico is part of similar initiatives in other states like Alaska, California, Idaho, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Virginia.
These states have also implemented stimulus programs aimed at easing the economic burden on their citizens.
