Nanny Buried Newborns: Shocking case in Italy

A 22-year-old nanny was arrested after the bodies of two newborns were found buried in her backyard.

Chiara Petrolini, a law student in Parma, is under investigation for voluntary manslaughter and concealing corpses in Traversetolo, Italy.

The gruesome discovery was made when her grandmother’s dog unearthed one of the bodies while the family was on vacation.

Petrolini and her parents were traveling in New York when authorities made the grim find at their home.

DNA tests confirmed that Chiara Petrolini was the mother of one of the babies buried in the family’s garden.

The investigation revealed that Petrolini had induced labor at 40 weeks and gave birth alone on August 7 of last year.

She allegedly killed the baby, buried it in the garden, and then went on vacation with her parents two days later.

The second body, found later, is still being examined to determine the circumstances of death.

Chiara Petrolini, who worked as a nanny and was actively involved in her local church, is also studying law in Parma.

Authorities discovered that the young woman had Googled “how to abort a child” before the tragic events unfolded.

Petrolini’s ex-boyfriend, Emanuele, who is believed to be the father of the babies, claimed he was completely unaware of her pregnancy.

Prosecutor Alfonso D’Avino stated that neither Petrolini’s parents nor Emanuele had any knowledge of the pregnancy at any time.

Emanuele’s mother, Sonia Canrossi, expressed her outrage: «If we had known, I would have raised the baby myself.»

Residents of Traversetolo are deeply shaken by the incident. “They are a wealthy family, I can’t believe it,” a neighbor said.

It was revealed that Chiara Petrolini had drastically reduced her food intake to avoid gaining weight and to hide the pregnancy.

Neighbor Gabriele Volpi remarked, «When I saw photos of her in New York, I couldn’t believe it, knowing what had happened.»

This case has left the community in a state of shock, grappling with the horror of what took place in an apparently normal environment.
