Nancy Pelosi’s husband arrested: Democrat Nancy Pelosi has been the Speaker of the US House of Representatives since January 2019. On Sunday morning it was announced that her 82-year-old millionaire husband had been arrested in Napa Valley, near his vineyard.

According to the Daily Mail, Paul Pelosi was arrested in Napa on suspicion of driving under the influence after being involved in an accident. He was booked on two counts shortly before midnight.

The Daily Mail reported that Paul Pelosi’s arrest was announced by members of the California Highway Patrol at 11:44 p.m. He was booked into the Napa County Jail at 4:13 a.m. on Sunday and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

It is believed, according to different sources, that he has been already released after paying a bail of $5,000. Nancy has not yet commented about this incident. The couple owns a vineyard in Napa as well as a house in nearby San Francisco. The Speaker doesn’t drink, according to previous statements given by her representatives. What happened?

The vineyard near where the politician’s husband was arrested is just one of many owned by the wealthy couple. According to the Daily Mail, the neighbors had no knowledge of the incidents that occurred close to midnight. A vineyard owner who lives nearby told the outlet that the couple often block the road with their convoy of SUVs when they come into town, but they didn’t see anything this weekend.

Some people theorized that Paul had been attending an event that was going on near where he was arrested. Several artists were playing at the nearby Bottle Rocks festival, including rapper Snoop Dogg. It was also reported that the couple’s vineyard is not open to the public but they do make wine for sale. According to the outlet, Pelosi previously faced criticism for her husband’s speculation in tech stocks at a time when their security was being debated in the House.
