As previously noted, «La Mano Peluda» specializes in broadcasting horror stories, a genre often referred to as radio-terror.

In essence, listeners call into this live show and recount their terrifying tales, with some stories being particularly chilling.

The show’s inaugural broadcast took place on August 13, 1995, with Rubén García Castillo as the host. He helmed the program for four years.

Subsequently, Juan Ramón Sáenz took over hosting duties from 1999 to 2010. Rubén then resumed the role from 2010 to 2018. Tragically, both hosts passed away.

Today, «La Mano Peluda» is helmed by hosts Nacho Muñoz and Gina Avilés, who took the reins on January 15, 2018.

It’s worth mentioning that both have been producers of the show for approximately 20 years, thus they are seasoned experts in the field.

Notably, «La Mano Peluda» enjoys not only success in Mexico but also in several countries around the world.

It’s described as «a broadcast exploring the unusual and the supernatural, delving into illogical and unexplained phenomena through the stories shared by radio listeners.»

On May 29, 2011, Juan Ramón Sáenz, one of the hosts of «La Mano Peluda,» passed away at the age of 48.

His death is said to have been due to a supposed curse after he conducted an investigation into ‘the Joshua case.’

In 2002, a young man named Josué Velázquez called the program from the US to share a case of demonic possession.

He stated that, in exchange for this pact, he obtained money and luxuries, but he had to pay with the harassment of several demons, who tormented him aggressively.

But this was not all, as Josué revealed that, through practicing the dark arts, he had contacted the devil, who forced him to do ‘bad things.’

In a broadcast of «La Mano Peluda,» he confessed that the entities desired the death of the host, Juan Ramón Sáenz, but Josué did not want this.

According to information from Infobae, on another occasion, Josué called the program, and his voice sounded demonic.

A Christian preacher «prayed for Josué’s soul to be delivered,» but apparently, it did not work.

Some time later, while Juan Ramón Sáenz was collaborating with TV Azteca for the program «Extranormal,» Josué was heard from again.

The host traveled to the United States to interview the young man, without anyone imagining what would happen next.

According to various versions, some available on YouTube, during the conversation, Juan Ramón appeared to have a distraught expression on his face.

Adding to that, he grimaced in pain, supposedly due to a ‘curse’. Days later, Sáenz died from respiratory arrest.

Did the curse also fall on Rubén García Castillo?

Almost ten years after the death of Juan Ramón Sáenz, host Rubén García Castillo also passed away, though the causes were not specified.

As reported by Infobae, after Rubén’s departure, Josué Velázquez was recalled once again.

It is said that the young man offered the life of another person, in this case, that of Juan Ramón, to continue upholding his part of the deal.

To this day, it is not known what happened to Josué Velázquez, whether he is still alive or has passed away.
