Dramatic motorcycle accident is captured by GoPro

A car accident was captured by the GoPro of a man who was riding his motorcycle and ended up getting knocked over by a Jeep. The video was shared on social media showing the motorcycle driver’s feat and how the Jeep driver was chasing him.

The incident happened in the United States, in the state of Illinois when a motorcyclist was speeding down the street. In the images, you can see how he overtook the other vehicle. So, in revenge, the Jeep driver decided to chase him and wound up knocking him onto the sidewalk. The police arrived just minutes after the incident.

A DEADLY RIDE

The video of a young motorcyclist who shared the incredible images of an accident that could have caused his death was shared on social media. In the first shots of the clip, it can be seen how the biker rides his motorcycle through the city and records every twist and turn on his GoPro, which he installed on his helmet.

The young man, wearing a checkered shirt, turns the camera every so often so that he can capture how he is moving. It is clear that he is driving at a very high speed but he seems to be maneuvering carefully and avoiding approaching cars…at least that’s how the video starts.

WAS IT FOR REVENGE?

In the disturbing images, the motorcyclist is seen riding on a clear section of the road, in a side lane where he can go at a moderately fast speed. No other vehicles are seen next to him. When the camera focuses on the other drivers for a few moments, it seems that everything is calm, but then a white Jeep appears on the scene.

In one of his maneuvers, you can see that he overtakes a white Jeep in a move that could have been taken as a challenge by the other driver. For a few moments, the Jeep does not appear on the scene and the young man continues riding along trying get distance from the other vehicle. Was the motorcyclist hit out of revenge?

Moments later it becomes obvious that the Jeep is chasing him.

The next thing the camera catches, surprises the driver and onlookers. The Jeep clearly swerves and knocks the driver off the motorcycle as it passes him. For an instant, everything is confusing as the camera also rolls away when the young man ends up on the ground. Was the Biker Seriously Injured?

For a few moments, the driver’s voice is not heard, only the noise of the air and the cars on the sidewalk. The driver, lets out some exclamations of surprise and the camera continues to focus on a tree near where the accident happened. Then, a man approaches the driver on the ground, asks him if he is okay and if he recorded what happened. You can hear people approaching him to ask if he is okay and saying they’ve called the police.

«Are you okay, are you all right?» a woman (not shown in the recording) asks the young man. «Of course not!» the motorcyclist replies, letting out a nervous laugh. «Do you have serious injuries?» another person asks him. «No, I think everything is fine,» says the motorcyclist. Could he get up?

In the recording,  the noise of a motorcycle is heard and the young man is able to get up from the asphalt. He is no longer wearing his helmet and answers the questions of passers-by who have come to his aid. Each person asks the motorcyclist what happened and he answers that everything was recorded on the GoPro he had on his helmet, which was unharmed.

«Everything okay, what happened?» someone asks the young biker. «Someone hit me, but everything was recorded on my GoPro,» replies the young man still shaken by the accident. He is seen texting on his phone while a young woman in a silver car stands next to him and calls the police. «This is fucking hilarious,» the motorcyclist remarks, picking up his belongings from the ground. Was the Jeep Driver Found?

For a moment, the young man is shocked by what happened when he sees more of his belongings on the ground and how some were thrown quite a distance. Walking slowly, the motorcyclist leaves the camera on the ground and the view of the GoPro is obscured. For a few minutes, the camera is on the ground and the young man can be heard explaining what happened.

Everyone around him seemed seriously concerned for the young man’s well-being and asked him if he managed to see who it was that hit him. The young man said that everything was recorded on his camera and that he captured every moment of the accident. Later, he picked up the camera again and it captures the police arriving.

What do the police say?

Shortly after the police were alerted, an officer approaches the scene and begins to question the young woman who dialed 911 about what happened. As she finishes, she speaks to the young man who was hit by the Jeep and begins to question him about the incident. Several times she asks if he is okay or if he would like someone to check on him, to which he denies and continues his account.

«Are you hurt, how are you feeling, do you need to be examined?» These are some of the questions the officer asks after speaking to the young woman who called about the accident. «I was riding, when everything happened. I’m fine, everything is fine, thank you. No, not like that it’s fine,» the motorcyclist answers the policeman. «I have his license plate number on my GoPro,» replies the young man pointing to the truck that hit him.

What did the young man say?

In the last shots of the video, an ambulance is heard approaching the incident, followed by another patrol car. The officer only asks for the information he managed to obtain from the truck and worries about the young man’s well-being. Shortly after, the video of the injured young man was shared on YouTube and he commented on what had happened and a offered some general information about the accident. CLICK TO SEE VIDEO HERE

«It happened on November 5, 2021, in Willowbrook, Illinois, U.S.A.,» the video’s description says. «I was driving on Highway 83s, coming home from the phone store, when the person cut me off [from the Jeep] so I turn to look at him and drive away, then focus on him with the GoPro.»

Was he upset with the biker?

According to the young man’s description, when he saw that the Jeep had cut him off, he decided to move forward and not cross his path. It seems that the driver didn’t like this and began following him. For that reason, he decided to turn on his camera and record what was happening on the road until he ended up being hit by that driver, who fled.

«Then I approached the traffic light and the video starts, after he hit me to the ground he [the Jeep driver] fled, while other people witnessed what happened and helped me,» said the motorcycle driver in the description of the video he shared on YouTube.
