Entre Madres y Doctoras: Edith Sánchez’s #MomFail Moment
Edith Sánchez shares with us a moment in which she simply started crying because of so much work and maternal stress that she felt.
- Edith Sánchez, one of the hosts of «Entre Madres y Doctoras,» shares a motherhood crisis moment.
- It’s so common for many to go through these kinds of moments, yet many still feel guilty for feeling this way.
- We must not forget that, in addition to being moms, we are also human beings and sometimes need to cry.
This week, the difficult moment is brought to us by Edith Sánchez. She had a crisis in which she said, «enough is enough. I can’t do it.»
It was an episode where she felt at her lowest point, as if she couldn’t take any more, due to the accumulated stress from her job.
She ran back and forth, as so many mothers do, and finally went to pick up William, her son.
William feels very safe with his mother, but at that moment he threw a tantrum, and Edith was exhausted, pushed to her limit. Then, the motherhood crisis struck.
A Tired Mom
Tears sprang from her eyes, and although she didn’t know why, upon reflection, it seemed a bit funny to her.
At that moment, after a day filled with responsibilities and commitments, total exhaustion arrived.
It’s a motherhood crisis that many mothers experience, one that completely drains you. Coming home and feeling that your child also drains you emotionally.
It’s something all mothers face at some point. It’s as if life has given you so much, as a mother and as a person, that sometimes emotions just burst forth and you wonder where they come from.
The Guilt in a Mother
At that moment, Edith felt bad about herself. She thought she couldn’t control her emotions then, but decided not to hide it.
She chose to be honest and accept that this was happening at that moment in her home. She felt it was important to teach her son that it’s okay to feel sad, and that’s exactly what she wanted to convey.
When Edith broke down, William also cried. He hugged her, they cried together and calmed each other down. They went through that moment together, and nothing serious happened. It wasn’t the end of the world.
Sometimes, mothers feel so bad when they’re not perfect, but having a moment where not everything goes as planned is normal. It was an example for her son that everyone is human and experiences difficult moments.
An Important Lesson
Edith doesn’t believe this is something bigger, as she now feels better. This episode provided her with the opportunity to show her son that everyone has their difficult moments and that it’s okay to be vulnerable occasionally.
So, Edith encourages everyone to share their difficult moments with their loved ones as well. These moments of the week, those challenging experiences we all face.
It’s key that we all share these kinds of moments because that’s how we realize that it’s completely human. The idea is to show that you’re not alone in this and that everyone has their difficult moments.
Sometimes, it’s necessary to shed a tear and remember that motherhood is a constant challenge.
