Through its social media channels, the Asociación Nacional de Actores (ANDA) announced a sad news.

Without revealing further details, the death of the Mexican actress Elda Peralta Ayala was reported. She was 91 years old.

In addition to being a film actress, Elda was a screenwriter, writer, and editor, not to mention that she was the president of the Surveillance Committee of the STPC.

She was part of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema

Born in Hermosillo, Sonora, on July 28, 1932, Elda Peralta participated in over 30 films from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema.

According to information from El Financiero, some of these films include «Chucho El Roto,» «Necesito dinero,» «Cárcel de mujeres,» and «Trotacalles.»

After working in the film industry for ten years, she ventured into writing and also taught at the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature.

However, in an interview, she revealed that she stopped acting because a director, whom she did not provide further details about, harassed her.
