  • Possible Deal with DEA.
  • Serious Health Issues.

Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada, one of Mexico’s most notorious drug traffickers, was captured by U.S. authorities in El Paso, Texas, on July 25.

However, many questions remain unanswered about the details of his arrest.

One of the most discussed theories is that Zambada might have voluntarily surrendered to see his children one last time.

A week after his capture and with legal proceedings against him starting on August 1, several theories have emerged about his case.

Experts in drug trafficking have been gathering evidence and analyzing the circumstances surrounding this event.

A video from the YouTube channel ‘Armapedia’ presents three possible explanations based on statements from authorities, lawyers, and consular personnel.

The most prominent theory suggests that Zambada, at 76 years old and suffering from health issues like diabetes and possibly cancer, might have negotiated his surrender to be with his family.

The theory of his voluntary surrender gains strength when considering his health condition and his desire to reunite with his children, who are in the United States.

Vicente Zambada Niebla, aka ‘El Vicentillo,’ his favorite son, is a protected witness in the U.S. after testifying in the trial of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán.

Serafín Zambada Ortiz, another of his sons, is a U.S. citizen and also faced charges in the country.

Authorities deported Ismael Zambada Imperial, known as ‘Mayito Gordo,’ to Mexico in 2022 after he served a sentence in the United States.

Besides his children, his brother Jesús Reynaldo Zambada, aka ‘El Rey,’ who testified in ‘El Chapo’s’ trial, might be detained.

Although, there is also speculation that the US authorities may have released Reynaldo after his collaboration.

«This is a theory supported by many experts on Mexican cartels, I’m not referring to those who only read a prompter on television,» the video states.

«If we analyze it very coldly, the fact that ‘El Mayo’ made deals with U.S. authorities, especially with the DEA, was the only way to be able to see his children,» they said.

«Considering that he suffers from diabetes, and probably also cancer, he is losing his sight, but his greatest desire is to be close to his children and his brother,» they say.

«So he probably analyzed his cards and said to himself, ‘Well, I must give myself to the gringos before I can no longer move because of my illness and my age to see them for the last time,'» they said.

«Maybe it is that simple, although I want to emphasize that this version does not fully explain what one of ‘El Chapo’s’ sons was doing on that plane,» they added.

In addition, some versions suggest that ‘Los Chapitos’ may have betrayed Zambada to secure the release of his brother.

There is discussion about the possibility that the DEA carried out a covert operation to capture Zambada in Mexico and transport him to the United States.

While voluntary surrender seems the most logical explanation considering ‘El Mayo’s’ age and health condition, other hypotheses are not ruled out.

The capture of Zambada, who evaded justice for years, marks a turning point in the fight against drug trafficking.

His decision to surrender or allow his capture will significantly impact the organized crime landscape in Mexico and the United States.

If Zambada surrendered to see his family, it could indicate a new approach to negotiating with high-profile drug traffickers. HERE is the video.
