The investigation into the disappearance of 12-year-old María Gómez Pérez from Gainesville has reached its fourth week without substantial new leads.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is still unaware of María’s whereabouts.
The community is growing frustrated by the lack of answers in María’s case.
However, investigators remain hopeful and urge the community to keep hope alive with them.
LARGE REWARD OFFERED FOR MARÍA GÓMEZ PÉREZ
The reward fund for María’s safe return remains at $50,000.
The announcement of the reward increase last week generated dozens of additional tips, but none have provided viable leads on María’s whereabouts.

So far, authorities have followed what they believed were solid leads in the following states:
South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Illinois, and Maryland.
WHERE IS THE MOTHER?
However, these leads have not brought the police any closer to finding María Gómez Pérez.
In an interview with Prensa Atlanta, María’s father revealed unexpected details about her mother.
«The girl is… well, we all know how kids are. Sometimes they behave, sometimes they don’t,» he said when asked about María’s behavior.
He also disclosed unexpected information about María’s mother: «Unfortunately, her mother is in Guatemala. They haven’t communicated much; they don’t know how things are going.»
MARÍA GÓMEZ PÉREZ’S FATHER REVEALS DARK SUSPICIONS
In a plea for help, María Gómez Pérez’s father asked the community to assist in finding his daughter.
«I hope you can help us in some way through this platform. You can help us or call us directly if anyone sees her.»
Andrés, María’s father, also provided a description of his daughter: «She is a slender girl, tall with long black hair.»
He then hinted at his darkest suspicions.
The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, the GBI, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and several other agencies have been integral to the investigation into María Gómez Pérez’s case.
