A man in Virginia was detained by authorities last week after making death threats against Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to the portal ‘NPR‘, the information is based on federal court documents, and the individual was identified as 66-year-old Frank Carillo.
The accusation is serious, as he is detained for posting more than 4,000 threatening comments on the social network GETTR.
An FBI special agent revealed that the Hispanic man threatened Kamala Harris, President Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Man accused of threatening Kamala Harris
In recent days, when Kamala Harris was announced as the new Democratic contender for the U.S. presidency, the man had mentioned her 19 times.
Frank Carillo was accused of violating the U.S. Code, which makes any threat against figures like the President, President-elect, or Vice President illegal.
The man’s account, allegedly Hispanic, was named ‘joemadarats1’.
It was discovered after Carillo made threats to the Maricopa County office, which reported it to the FBI office in Arizona.
Weapons found in Frank Carrillo’s home
The FBI contacted Google and the social network GETTR to find Carillo’s IP address, email, and location.
They conducted a search of the man’s home in Winchester, Virginia, last Friday and found an RF-15 rifle and a 9 mm pistol.

While conducting the search, Frank Carillo told authorities: «This is ridiculous, just for a comment. I think I’m going to need a lawyer.»
But in one of his posts, he stated: «I have my AR-15 armed and loaded.»
