Magnitude Adjustment and Seismic Activity in Mexico

Minutes later, the figure was adjusted to 5.4 magnitude.

Oaxaca’s Civil Protection urged residents to remain calm.

Mexico is one of the most seismically active regions in the world.

This is due to the interaction between the Cocos Plate and the North American Plate.

The accumulation of energy between these plates frequently triggers earthquakes.

The National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) issued safety recommendations for seismic activity.

Authorities in Mexico continue to monitor the situation to prevent potential risks after the earthquake.

Residents are advised to follow official sources for updated information.
