Luis Argueta is wanted in Harris County, Texas, for the brutal shooting of Eddie Clark III.

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Homicide Division detectives searching for Luis Argueta, 47, revealed details of the crime in a press conference.

Investigator David Crain described Luis Argueta as «a coward.»

Crain’s made these harsh statements about Luis Argueta because he fled after the crime, while his wife, his son and his brother-in-law were arrested for their parts in the murder.

Luis Argueta is wanted for shooting Eddie Clark

Eddie Clark III, 29, was heading home to Houston, Texas, when Luis Argueta and some of his family members ambushed him and shot him to death.

The most surreal part of the homicide is that Luis Argueta’s motive was a disagreement with another man, who had nothing to do with the victim, and he dragged his entire family into his revenge.

The Homicide Division of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigated the Arguetas’ irrational crime.

Argueta had filed several complaints with police

In 2021, Mr. Luis Argueta filed several reports with the HCSO alleging that a friend of his son’s ex-girlfriend had caused severe damage to his house and cars.

HCSO officers responded to Luis Argueta’s home at 7101 Hilton Hollow Drive, in the Westminster Village subdivision, on the border between the suburbs of Katy and Cy Fair, west of Houston.

The multiple reports say that a person driving a Dodge Charger damaged the Argueta’s property. That detail is the center of the murder.

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, shortly after midnight, Luis Argueta’s son saw a Dodge Challenger coming down their street.

The family brutally attacked Clark’s car

Joe Anthony Argueta, 21, alerted Luis Argueta and his mother Florinda, 41, that the man who was damaging their property was coming down the street.

Luis Agueta came out of the house with a gun, Joe Anthony Argueta was also armed and Florinda Argueta had a baseball bat.

Within minutes Luis Argueta attacked the vehicle. They used their own cars to block Eddie Clark’s vehicle.

Clark saw the angry family approaching and tried to escape but they shot him and he lost control of his car.

Eddie Clark III died in the hospital from his injuries

Eddie Clark crashed into a tree down the street while Luis Argueta and Joe Argueta continued shooting and Florinda Argueta swung the bat.

The commotion alerted the neighbors who came out to see what was happening.

Several HCSO patrol officers responded to the scene of the murder and only found Eddie Clark III badly injured in his car.

He was was rushed to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police are asking the community for help

The Homicide Division of the HCSO took over the investigation and the security cameras belonging to several neighbors revealed the brutal murder perpetrated by Luis Argueta and his family.

Based on this video evidence, witness testimony and other information, police arrested Florinda Argueta and her brother Margarito Alcántar for helping to block the street. Joe Argueta was also arrested.

«Luis Argueta is a coward. He is allowing his wife, son, and brother-in-law to face murder charges for a case he was very, very much involved in. He’s just hiding out,» explained investigator David Crain.
