LOS ANGELES (AP) – Max Muncy homered, Walker Buehler hit a three-hitter into the seventh inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers swept the two-game series between the two league leaders with a 3-1 win over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. Chris Taylor hit a two-run single in the first inning, the fifth straight win for the World Series champions. The hosts dug out Giants ace Kevin Gausman after five innings, and they won despite getting three hits all night.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are achievers
Kenley Jansen allowed two runners on base to start the ninth, but finished easily for his 20th save. Los Angeles (49-31) got within a game and a half of the Giants (50-29), who have the best record in the majors. The victory went to Buehler (8-1), while Gausman (8-2) took the loss. For the Giants, the Venezuelans Wilmer Flores 4-0 with one scored; Thairo Estrada 1-0. The Colombian Donovan Solano 3-0.
