The case of the murder of Paola Salcedo, sister of footballer Carlos Salcedo, took a new turn with the statements of the alleged perpetrators.

Miguel Ángel «N» (El Pecas) and José Iván «N» claimed to be very drugged on the day of the crime and did not mention anything about the former Cruz Azul player.

In their initial statements, the suspected killers of the sister of Carlos Salcedo said they had consumed illegal substances and, after running out, went out to rob to get more.

Reports indicate that they passed by the circus where Paola Salcedo’s truck was and identified her as their target based on her attire and vehicle.

The sister of the Mexican player resisted the robbery, leading the assailants to shoot her several times, causing her death in the hospital.

Before this version, the General Justice Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) had already stated that the motive for the crime was a failed robbery attempt.

It is worth mentioning that Carlos Salcedo’s name was not mentioned in the initial statements by Miguel Ángel «N» and José Iván «N».

Recently, the player formalized his departure from Cruz Azul in Liga MX, according to the La Razón portal.

The case of Paola Salcedo’s death became more complicated on Thursday, July 4, when María Isabel Hernández Navarro, Carlos Salcedo’s mother, accused the footballer and his wife Andrea Navarro of the murder.

In one of her Instagram stories, Hernández Navarro called for justice for her daughter and accused Carlos Salcedo and Andrea Navarro of being the masterminds behind the crime.

Carlos Salcedo had to return from Germany to Mexico in 2018 due to a family conflict that went to court.

The mother’s accusation adds a dramatic element to the case, suggesting a family conspiracy behind the murder.

The Mexican Liga MX team made official the departure of the footballer, thus closing a chapter with the sky-blue team.

The 30-year-old Mexican defender used social media to bid farewell to the millions of Cruz Azul fans through his X account.
