The crowd erupted in applause after Harris addressed the interruptions, and her supporters began chanting, “We will not back down.”
The vice president has previously called for a ceasefire in Gaza and condemned atrocities in the 10-month war.
Harris’ stop in Michigan is part of her campaigning in several key states this week alongside her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
The Democratic couple had been in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, earlier in the day, where they gathered 12,000 supporters, according to The New York Times.
The event was attended by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain.
Michigan, with 15 electoral votes, is a key state for Democrats in November.
President Joe Biden won the state by about 200,000 votes in 2020.
Michigan has also been the scene of harsh criticism of the Biden administration over its handling of the war in Gaza.
During this year’s primaries, 13.2% of Democratic voters cast an «uncommitted» vote in protest of Washington’s policies on Israel.
Pro-Palestinian supporters at Harris’ rally chanted: «Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide. We will not vote for genocide,» according to ABC News correspondent Selina Wang.

Protesters demanded that the White House stop sending military aid to Israel and promote an end to the war in Gaza between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
Wang said protesters were escorted out of the venue after chanting, while some supporters tried to «drown» them with their own shouts.
