According to the Deportes TVC portal, footballer Julio César Hernández died of dengue on Sunday, September 1st.
This sad news was confirmed through the social media accounts of his team, Olancho FC.

It was also revealed that the player, originally from Jutiquile, Olancho, contracted the disease just a few days ago.
Despite being hospitalized, he showed no improvement and eventually passed away.
Julio César Hernández was honored with a minute of applause during the match between his team, Olancho FC, and Génesis.
Los Potros defeated the visiting team four goals to nil in the sixth round of the 2024 Apertura of the National League.
The young player was part of Olancho FC’s reserves and was expected to debut in the first division.
Meanwhile, farewell messages on social media poured in.
According to the La Prensa portal, Julio César Hernández was initially hospitalized at the Santo Hermano Pedro de Catacamas hospital.
However, due to his critical health condition, he was transferred to a medical center in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
It was in this medical facility where he sadly lost his life.
