“I have been reflecting a lot on who we are and who we should be. The idea of America was conceived as a beacon of freedom, and that is what we must continue to be.

“Participating in our democracy should not be something that disillusions or disorients us. Many people feel that today there is no equal opportunity. And this equality is what makes the United States different, because if there is one word that defines it, it is: possibility,” he said.
