Second man accused of killing Jocelyn Nungaray searched the internet for a way to leave the country

The second suspect in the murder of Jocelyn Nungaray searched online for ways to leave the country.

He did this after seeing his photo on television as a person of interest in the investigation.

This was revealed by the prosecution during the appearance of 22-year-old Johan José Martínez Rangel.

The trial took place in the 232nd Criminal Court of Harris County.

Suspicious Search and Million-Dollar Bail in Jocelyn Nungaray Case

Authorities found the search on the seized cellphone of Martínez Rangel.

Martínez Rangel conducted the search after the death of Jocelyn Nungaray on June 17.

At Monday’s hearing, 26-year-old Franklyn José Peña Ramos was also presented.

The Harris County judge set a bail of $10 million for Martínez Rangel.

The judge considers Martínez Rangel a high flight risk.

The prosecution revealed that both suspects contacted their boss for help to flee.

The two men worked in construction.

Jocelyn was found without clothing from the waist down and with her hands tied.

Signs of Dragging and Possible Sexual Abuse in Jocelyn Nungaray Case

The girl showed signs of having been dragged to a creek.

Investigators are awaiting the Forensic Sciences report on possible sexual abuse.

If abuse is confirmed, the suspects could face the death penalty.

ICE confirmed that the accused are Venezuelan immigrants who entered the country illegally.
