Her journey started with jobs like being a waitress, cleaning apartments, and hotel rooms. But her life shifted when she started working in construction because of her husband’s help.

Even though she didn’t have experience, Jhessy took on this new adventure.

Yet, her first tries in construction were tough. She lost three jobs because she didn’t know enough.

But Jhessy did not give up, and together with her husband, they decided to open their own construction company, called «Seven J Construction,» in November 2014.

Despite the initial obstacles, they persevered and obtained state licenses to operate in various locations.

Empowering Women in Construction: Jhessy has become a pioneer in the construction industry in Atlanta, being one of the first women to stand out in a field dominated by men.

Though she has dealt with unfair treatment because she’s a woman, she’s proven that women can play a big role in construction.

Besides her business wins, Jhessy also gives back to her Honduran community.
