In January, Jared Goff ended decades of Detroit’s search for a postseason-winning quarterback.

The quarterback led the Detroit Lions to two playoff wins for the first time since the team won the NFL title in 1957.

Goff led the franchise to its first postseason victory in 32 years, beating the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC wildcard game.

He also defeated Tampa Bay before falling to San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game.

Detroit Lions’ general manager Brad Holmes acquired Jared Goff and a pair of first-round picks for Stafford three years ago.

Goff, who was heading into the last year of his previous deal, will now be under contract in Detroit until the 2028 season.

He is the highest-paid player in the history of the Lions.

Moreover, he is the second highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, just behind Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals.
