Issac Blackhorse Garcia arrested after fatal hit-and-run

A California man was arrested after allegedly running over a 16-year-old pregnant teenager in Riverside.

The victim, identified as Kaylie Corona, died after confronting the suspect for having relationships with her younger sister.

The incident occurred on Sunday at 11:45 p.m. on a residential street, 55 miles from Los Angeles, reported by Fox.

Issac Blackhorse Garcia, 19, was detained and faces charges of murder, hit and run, and sexual abuse.

The suspect was located in Moreno Valley, 10 miles from the crime scene, and transferred to the Robert Presley Detention Center without bail.

According to authorities, Issac Blackhorse Garcia arrived at the victim’s home to drop off her sister and was confronted by family members.

Attempting to flee in his vehicle, he allegedly ran over Kaylie and fled the scene.

Emergency services took the young woman to a hospital with severe injuries, but she died shortly after.

Doctors were able to save the baby, who remains in critical condition at a children’s hospital.

Security camera footage captured family members running into the street and screaming upon realizing the tragedy.

Neighbors described the vehicle’s impact as «extremely fast» and mentioned that Kaylie Corona often walked in the area.

«Just the day before the tragedy, we saw her with her sister, they were laughing,» a resident recounted.

Kaylie Corona’s family expressed their grief in a GoFundMe campaign, describing Kaylie as a young woman with a promising future.

Authorities believe the suspect may have committed more crimes and ask any witnesses to contact the Riverside Police Department.
