In the first phase of the agreement, 33 hostages, including women, children and wounded people, will be progressively released over a period of 42 days during which a ceasefire in Gaza will be implemented.

At the same time, hundreds of Palestinian prisoners will be released, including some convicted of murder, although their final fate is not specified.

Additionally, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will begin a gradual withdrawal to a buffer zone near the border, maintaining some military presence until all hostages are freed.

«This historic agreement is a victory for the peace and security of our allies. «We have achieved a lot without being in the White House yet,» he said.
