A few days ago, the Pedro El Escamoso star shared the moment when she had her first ultrasound.

They both appeared very excited to see their baby for the first time, however, they received sad news.

After going to the ultrasound appointment, the couple shared a video.

«We didn’t lose the baby. There was never a baby,” the Colombian actress wrote in the description of the post.

Alina and Jim’s fans had been following her pregnancy journey closely.

Each step of the process was described with the excitement of the arrival of a new member to the family.

As she explained, a recent ultrasound found there was no baby, indicating a false pregnancy

This situation, according to doctors, could be due to hormones from IVF.

«The process was successful, the issue is that as the doctor explained to us there are false positives,» the actress began.

«And ours was a case like that, that is, the home and blood test came out positive, the doctor had said that we should wait a little because it seemed premature,» she said.

«Absolutely nothing came out on the ultrasound. There is no baby. I come back and clarify: we did not lose the baby,” said the Colombian actress.

A terrible disappointment

«It was something that did not happen and when I asked the doctor why the home and blood test was positive, he told us that there are cases like mine where the tests are wrong,» said Alina.

«In my case, there is a hormone that is not given to women in all cases called Ovitrelle, which is a medicine,» she noted.

«That medication specifically can alter the results of pregnancy and blood tests and that is what happened with us,» she added.

«I already know that many people are going to come on saying, ‘Oh, we knew it because it’s a show, the biggest liars in Colombia.’ We assume the consequences,» she said.

Alina’s followers support her

Jim Velásquez appears next to Alina, giving her comfort during this painful time.

«I want to tell Alina that there are many other ways to have a baby, not just by donating eggs, and I don’t want to give up,» he said.
