The news was confirmed by her husband, Matthew Okula.

He revealed that the influencer suffered cardiac arrest caused by an amniotic fluid embolism, an extremely rare and severe obstetric complication.

Her death occurred shortly after the birth of their firstborn, whom the couple had named Crew.

For nearly two years, the couple tried unsuccessfully to become parents until they finally conceived through assisted reproduction.

“Words cannot describe how much we wanted to be parents,” said Matthew in an emotional video posted on Hailey’s account on April 1.

In the same message, he recounted how his wife faced every obstacle with strength and determination, never losing faith or her desire to become a mother.

“After years of infertility struggles and a long and challenging IVF journey, we were overjoyed to be expecting Crew,” he said, referring to their baby’s name.

Matthew shared that Hailey Okula’s spirit and love were already present in their son even before he was born, highlighting the deep bond she had created during her pregnancy.

“Hailey faced every obstacle with so much courage and love. Even though her body went through so much, she never wavered,” he said, visibly moved.

He also said Hailey will be remembered as a brave, generous woman passionate about her calling.

With her account dedicated to medical and lifestyle content, Nurse Hailey impacted thousands.

Not only with her expertise as a nurse but also through her ability to inspire and support others through their own personal battles.

“She wanted to be a mom more than anything,” her husband recalled in the video, which quickly went viral.

“Though her time with us was tragically cut short, Hailey’s love for Crew was boundless, long before he entered this world,” Matthew said.

“Her spirit, courage, and love will live on in our son and through everyone whose lives she touched,” he added, making it clear that Hailey’s legacy will endure.
