Andrea Escalona announced that she’s pregnant! After sharing images of an ultrasound, the host of Hoy revealed that she’s in her 13th week of pregnancy and in very good health. She also added that the arrival of her first baby is an exciting moment and one of the happiest experiences of her life, according to El Universal and El Heraldo de Mexico. Andrea Escalona shared the first images of her pregnancy on Hoy’s morning broadcast, surprising her colleagues and the other hosts of the show, who couldn’t believe what they were hearing when they received the news live. After this, of course, everyone stood up to hug her and express their joy about the newest member of the morning show.

Some of them were moved to tears, as was the case with Pablo Stanley and Galilea Montijo, who is heard mentioning – as she laughs – that she’s also crying. Subsequently, Montijo invites the «aunts» and «uncles» to sit in the main room of the studio, to see the segment where the daughter of producer Magda Rodríguez (1963-2020) is receiving a check-up on the status of her pregnancy.

«I’m already 13 weeks in, everything is fine,» says the 35-year-old host. «It was something super nice, I still can’t believe it, but there it is (she points to the ultrasound images) and, indeed, I’m pregnant,» she says smiling, while her colleagues couldn’t contain their joy.

WHAT DID MAGDA SAY IN THE INTERVIEW?

Hoy showed an interview where Magda talked about how happy she would be if Andrea got pregnant, at which point Escalona burst into tears, moved by the memory of her mother who died on November 1, 2020. Her colleagues asked her not to cry, because it’s a time to be happy.

“I really wanted to tell you, you’re my family, I love you. Hoy’s audience too, all of you. Here is the news, with you I have shared everything, every moment; the good ones, the bad ones, the unpleasant ones and this is the best moment of my life.
