Anti-Semitic Letter Sent to Rabina in Georgia
The Department of Justice revealed that Collazo Ramos allegedly sent a threatening letter to Rabbi Elizabeth Bahar.
The woman is affiliated with the Beth Israel Temple in Macon, Georgia.
These threats were sent via the United States Postal Service on February 1, 2024.
The handwritten letter contained hostile and anti-Semitic messages specifically targeting Rabbi Bahar.
Legal Consequences for Anti-Semitic Threats
The contents of the letter included a disturbing message suggesting violence and discrimination towards the Jewish community.

On the back of the letter, an offensive drawing perpetuating antisemitic stereotypes was found.
Anti-Semitic Drawing Aggravates Legal Charges
The hand-drawn sketch «depicting a supposed Jewish man dressed in a rat costume and the words ‘JEWS ARE RATS’,» said the Department of Justice.
For these acts, Ariel E. Collazo Ramos faces charges of sending threatening communications.
If found guilty, Collazo Ramos could receive a sentence of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
