An unexpected occurrence rattled the Christian congregation of «Alumbrando El Camino» when the pastor failed to appear for a sermon.
The congregation was horrified, their dismay deepening due to the perverse reasons behind his absence, revealed upon learning of his arrest.
«The production of child pornography is one of the most abhorrent crimes we encounter in our society.»
«The concern is even more profound when the crime is allegedly committed by a leader in a local place of worship,» said James Smith, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI in New York, in a statement.
What he had on his cell phone horrified everyone
Religious leader José Sáez Jr. was under active investigation for the alleged production of child pornography, as reported by the FBI through its official website.
«I’m sorry, I can’t stop,» were the words spoken by the Long Island preacher when federal agents arrested and questioned him.
During the photo capture for his police file, the pastor posed with a smile, conveying a sense of pleasure rather than remorse.
The FBI’s Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force initiated the investigation following an online tip.

The same one that reported that a person was sexually active with minor children, the security body details in its publication.
«Following the execution of the search warrant, the agents conducted a cursory search of the subject’s cell phone.»
«And they found numerous videos containing child pornography,» says the FBI. In total, 15 videos were counted.
So far only one of the victims has been identified, a 16-year-old high school student, from whom the religious man allegedly requested the images through Telegram.
The pastor now remains under arrest
José Sáez Jr. remains under arrest for the crimes sexual exploitation of a minor and production of child pornography.
According to the data provided by federal agents, the detainee was married and has three children and shared the videos with at least 10 other people.
The FBI calls on the Christian congregation to contact 1-800-225-5324 if they know of any victims or are aware of any inappropriate behavior by the pastor.
«FBI is committed to protecting our children and enforcing the law to identify and stop the predators of these heinous crimes,» said the statement from the vice principal from the FBI.
