The tragic death of Jenni Rivera, nearly 11 years ago, continues to be the topic of discussion.

Now, a video has resurfaced where her brother, Gustavo Rivera, confesses that he took photos and videos of Jenni Rivera’s body.

In was an interview from several years ago with beloved Chilean host Don Francisco for his show Don Francisco Te Invita.

On that occasion, Gustavo explained why he made that decision, which was harshly criticized by his sister’s fans.

Gustavo Rivera was the last person to see Jenni’s body

Before the formal welcome, it was revealed that Gustavo Rivera was the last person to see Jenni’s body.

First, Don Francisco asked if success and money had divided his family and Gus said it had not happened with everyone.

«It’s a drastic change, and it’s sad that they leave their family, wives and children behind. It’s very painful,» he revealed without mentioning anyone by name.

Then, the Chilean host pointed out that his guest nearly died in the same accident.

And when no one saw it coming, Gustavo Rivera revealed that, before her death, his sister Jenni had many problems with many employees.

«I told my mom that she had to talk to Jenni to tell her that I was going to travel with her. She said she would travel on December 8 and wanted me to go with her.»

It’s worth remembering that La Diva de la Banda died on December 9, 2012, after giving an unforgettable concert in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

«My daughter Karina got married that day, and I couldn’t be with Jenni on the same day. If it weren’t for my daughter, I’m sure I wouldn’t be here,» he commented.

Next, Don Francisco said that Gustavo Rivera, accompanied by his brothers Juan and Lupillo, traveled to the place where Jenni lost her life.

However, Gus made it clear that only he and Juan went, and he didn’t want to say why Lupillo didn’t join them.

«These are sad things because everyone does their own things,» he commented, although later he revealed that the singer stayed in a recording studio to «benefit from this.»

«God has given me more than I have asked for, and I can’t ask for more,» he said. There’s still more to be said.

In another part of this interview, Gustavo Rivera acknowledged that he did something very painful and that people don’t know what he was feeling inside.

Seconds later, Jenni’s brother shared that several hosts criticized him for taking photos and video of Jenni Rivera’s body.

«People don’t understand that when a body comes from another country, the brother or sister has to go see the body.»

Why did Gustavo take the photos?

As this conversation was about to conclude, Gustavo Rivera said that, thank God, he had the strength to endure crying and suffering on that occasion.

«It’s very difficult to talk and go back to that day… I have never profited from anything related to our sister,» said Jenni’s brother.

When asked why Gustavo took photos of the singer’s lifeless body, he confessed that he used to be interested in photography, and he had to do it on this occasion.
