Frida Sofía, who has been estranged from her mother, singer Alejandra Guzmán, for years, broke her silence after the death of her grandmother, legendary actress Silvia Pinal.

In 2021, Frida made headlines when she revealed in an interview that her grandfather, Enrique Guzmán, abused her as a child.

This confession deepened the rift with her mother, making reconciliation seem impossible.

With the unexpected passing of Silvia Pinal, Frida Sofía took to social media to share her emotions.

In a video posted on her official Instagram account, Frida Sofía expressed her grief over the loss of her grandmother.

Visibly emotional and unable to hold back tears, Frida reflected on the fragility of life.

“I am grateful to the universe, to God, to the light beyond all abundance, for the moments I’ve been given,” she said.

She shared that one of those precious moments was the chance to say goodbye to her grandmother.

Frida revealed that she whispered in Silvia Pinal’s ear, telling her she loved her, was eternally grateful, and encouraged her to rest.

“She deserves to rest, and Viri, her daughter, and my sister Natasha, are waiting for her,” she added.

Viridiana Alatriste, Silvia Pinal’s daughter, died in a car accident in 1982 at the age of 19.

Natasha Moctezuma, Frida Sofía’s sister, passed away in September 2021 at the age of 24.

Support poured in for Frida Sofía.

Television host Yolanda Andrade commented that she knew Frida had always been attentive to her grandmother’s health.

Mexican singer Yuri wrote, “Much peace to you, beautiful, and to your family. Blessings to you.”
