  • The American store chain ordered the recall after storage errors.

Family Dollar has issued a nationwide recall of at least 400 personal care products and OTC drugs due to incorrect storage. Specifically, the store chain announced a massive recall of 430 products from shelves across the country.

Family Dollar indicated that the recall is due to the fact that hundreds of products were stored outside the recommended temperatures before being sent to stores across the country, The Sun reported.

Affected items include everything from sunscreen, toothpaste, and body wash to medications like ibuprofen, cough syrup, and antihistamines. The major brands making up the bulk of the recall are Aveeno, Colgate, Degree, Dove, Listerine, Neutrogena and Vicks.

The products were shipped to certain stores nationwide on or about May 1, 2022 through June 10, 2022. They are being recalled because they were stored outside of labeled temperature requirements, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA advised customers to contact their physician or health care provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to the use of these products.

Adverse reactions or quality problems experienced with the use of these products can be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program, either online, by mail, or by fax, the FDA said.
